Always call our main number: 704-542-5540. For an emergency, please call 911. During regular office hours please utilize Kids First Pediatrics answering machine. Instead of waiting on hold, we set up our system so that our patients can leave a message. We check our messages every frequently to make sure that everyone is attended to expediently.

Kids First Pediatrics will make every effort to see a child who is ill for a same-day appointment; however, we ask that you call as early as possible in the day so that we may schedule as efficiently as possible. Patients who call after 3:00 may be required to be seen on the next day. If you would like to speak to a nurse to decide if you need to come in, please tell this to the receptionist as well.

While Kids First Pediatrics does not have scheduled evening and weekend hours, that does not mean pediatric care and advice are not available to your child when they need it. Should a medical concern arise during these times, your call will be returned in an expedient manner by a nurse and if necessary by a physician. If after discussion it is determined that an evaluation or visit is in order, arrangements will be made to have your child seen in the appropriate setting (i.e., urgent care or local emergency department).

In order to keep our office running smoothly, we ask that our patients be considerate of everyone’s time and arrive on-time. Patients/families that arrive 15 minutes (or more) late for well visits may be requested to reschedule their appointment. We ask that patients give the office 24 hours notice for cancellation of a well-appointment. We also ask patients to give as much notice as possible when canceling a sick appointment so that someone else can utilize the time. Those registered patients who are “no-shows” for a scheduled well visit without 24 hours notice of cancellation shall be assessed a $25 fee.
